Site Specific Sculpture

My sculptural works are made from found and discarded materials pulled out from hedges and laybys,  items gathered from the farm where I live and work and its surrounding landscape.  They are assembled in response to specific sites, like  apple trees or fused to fence posts where they shift between visibility and concealment.  These works operate as temporary interruptions in the landscape, drawing attention to processes of decay, reuse and quiet repair.  Rather than imposing form onto place, they settle into it, responding to weather, growth and entropy.  In this way the sculptures hold a fragile dialogue with their environment, where waste is not resolved but allowed to persist in altered states of presence.
