River Washford Rising
River Washford Rising is a collaborative project between Jenni Dutton, myself, and the River Washford, recognising the river as both creative voice and active partner. Together we weave future folklore through art, writing, performance, mask making and sound, drawing upon the river’s ecology, her rhythms and our human response to her. By approaching the river and her watershed as a living entity, the project reimagines our relationship with nature, honouring her agency while exploring how landscape, memory, and imagination might flow together to form new narratives for uncertain times. The work will culminate in a riverside commitment ceremony on 22 March 2026 World Water Day. You'll find our work on Instagram @ River Washford Rising
