I am an artist based in a secluded corner of West Somerset working across multiple mediums. My practice explores the edges between order and disorder, calm and chaos, through play, performance, and transformation. I dress, enact, and inhabit fairy tale characters, revisiting familiar stories to uncover hidden layers of memory, identity, and imagination.
I work with found and salvaged materials, for example car parts, discarded shoes, papier-mâché and salt dough which like the characters I perform are reanimated through touch and transformation. Both materials and performance act as collaborators, allowing cycles of repair, renewal, and reinterpretation. Each piece is a trace of encounter, a slow reply to the detritus and pace of contemporary life.
